Nine members of Kay White’s Newspaper class at Lee Middle School recently held a fundraiser to elect the Valentine Kings and Queens of the 6th, 7th, & 8th grade classes.  Students and staff nominated and voted, with nomination fees of $5 and each vote costing $1.  They were proud to collect $717 during this competition, with the Kings and Queens being crowned on February 13 at a schoolwide event.  Mrs. White and the newspaper students are proud to present this money to the Grand Prairie Food Bank, in the name of Lee Middle School, its staff and students, and are very happy to play a part in helping out families right here in Grand Prairie.  Newspaper class members are: Flor Cerda, Darion Harris, Priscilla Huerta, Alexa Mata, Michelle Munoz, Dustin Pittsinger, Jasmine Schlicker, Etnia Veloz, and Amanda Windschitl, all Lee 8th graders.
